I definitely agree with the need to have strong communities of men on mission. But I also believe that the natural direction of Christianity is to do what salt and light does - make the world salty and light. When one man bows the knee to Jesus, more will follow, even if at times and in circumstances of history, some are called upon to simply suffer. And yes, the gospel is the only announcement that can win the world for Jesus. It is powerful.
I agree that where Christianity is an influence it will affect the culture. I did not mean for it to sound like I did not. Quite the opposite it is Christianity affecting culture that makes any Christian Comminity of any size work and remain stable.
